Thomas Kirk's IWHC Campaign (Extraordinary people: daring to actually help women) is a charity that aims to advance the rights of women and girls in developing regions. This campaign was established to ensure reproductive rights, healthcare, food, shelter, clothing, education, clean drinking water, and economic opportunities for women who suffer oppression, poverty, violence, and human rights abuse in underdeveloped places such as Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. This campaign was initiated in March, 2016 by Thomas James Kirk, the head of an independent entertainment and social-political commentary organization called the Drunken Peasants.[1] Kirk and the supporters of this campaign achieved his goal by raising over $100,000 USD for an organization that he had partnered with, the International Women's Health Coalition.[2] The IWHC is an international non-governmental organization that works cooperatively with governments and global health policymakers like the United Nations to advance their goals by funding grassroot political movements.[3]

Shortly after this campaign had been initiated, the charity drive reached $15,000 in less than 24 hours.[4] A few months following its initial launch, TJ Kirk's campaign had exceeded its goal, having raised over $120,000.[2]

Kirk's campaign was mobilized with the intention of "bringing actual feminism to women". His campaign was also partially motivated in spite of the regressive and radical nature of Third-Wave pseudo-feminism. As part of his motivation with this campaign, Kirk aims to provide a better alternative for promoting actual feminism as opposed to the "projects" by Third-Wave Feminist Scam-Artists such as Anita Sarkeesian and Zoe Quinn who generally collect thousands of dollars in donations just to focus on trivial non-issues such as the portrayal of women in video games and keep most of the donated money for themselves.

In launching this campaign, Kirk and the supporters of this charity hoped to undermine the negative and hostile sentiments against the progressive and non-radical branches of feminism as the reputation of feminism as a whole has long been tarnished by its ideologically regressive subdivisions such as Third Wave Feminism.

Hello, I'm TJ Kirk. I hope that you will join me in supporting The International Women's Health Coalition, whose goals are to provide sexual education, reproductive rights, and educational opportunities women and girls in places like Africa, India, The Middle East and Asia. They strive to help girls in these regions by:

  • Advancing the rights of adolescent girls
  • Promoting comprehensive sexual education
  • Ending child marriages and forced marriages
  • Ensuring safe and legal abortions

The IWHC accomplishes these goals by working with governments and global health policymakers as well as funding educational programs and grassroots political movements. They are bringing true feminism to woman and girls who suffer actual oppression and inequality. Their organization has received a 4 star rating from Charity Navigator, a service that rates charities based on the financial health of the charity and the transparency and accountability of the charity. The IWHC received a rating of 90 out of 100 for financial health and 100 out of 100 for transparency and accountability.
